Veronica Lopez (Associate Producer) grew up in East Los Angeles and spent 20 years researching and teaching neuroendocrinology before switching careers to documentary film. While working as a college neuroscience lecturer, no rx
she gained film and video experience by interning at the Media Education Foundation in Massachusetts, help
an organization that produces and distributes documentaries about mass media. She is excited about the empathy-inducing power of film and is especially interested in telling documentary stories inspired by her own experiences as Latina, queer, and scientist. In addition to her MFA in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford University, Veronica holds a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a BA in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. She currently lives in the San Francisco East Bay working in freelance documentary production and editing.
